New things...

I like to think positive!! We are all going to learn new things this year, never mind the fact that they are a year older and summer is over...sniffle...I love them soooo much and will miss them all day, every day till next summer. Thanks for blessing me this summer with so much fun! I love you. Happy first day of school!

Finding a treasure

I have been looking for a chandelier for a long time, while Junking one morning I came upon this..for $1

with some lovin, spray paint and a little bling...

it now hangs over my kitchen table





I was ready to paint it black then I hung it primed white and liked it, so for now it will be white!

It suits me just fine

Lamp shade redo

My lamps needed a change and so did I! And it is time to put the finishing touches on our master bedroom. I think it's a fun change.

I changed the lamp shades

and went with a different shape

It makes waking up in the morning that much sweeter!!

First project for 2010...copycat

i am someone who is great at copying, if i see something i like, i go for it...i don't think though that i am complimenting myself at all!! but I save a lot of money, so it is a win-win situation. i saw this in the new PB catalog and love it. so i will be heading to HD this weekend. my thought is to write one of my favorite bible verses on it or maybe more since it will be on the bigger side.

Giving Thanks

Although we spent Thanksgiving in Glendale, AZ. at a hockey tournament with my parents joining us, we did get to enjoy a real home made dinner with my hubby's parents. It was really sweet. We feel so blessed

And we are so thankful everyone is healthy and happy in our family. As many are sick and suffering we are always blessed to have our Savior in the midst of all our circumstances.

I pray your family is praising Him today for His grace and blessings are sufficient for all who seek Him!

Christmas time Traditions...

Last year the kids started a fun family tradition, watching Christmas movies, whether it is from our stash of Christmas DVDs or a Christmas special on TV they will not miss it and it's in full force tonight! We watched "Merry Madagascar Christmas" on NBC. So cute! And the best part for the man and I is all the belly laughs!! Let the Christmas movies and traditions begin.
